US police arrested a suspected gunman early Tuesday. The man is accused of killing homeless people sleeping on the streets of New York City and Washington DC. So far he has killed at least two people in this incident, while three others have been injured in less than two weeks. The Metropolitan Police Department of America gave information about the matter.
The Police Department issued a statement on Twitter saying that after a thorough investigation, a police team has arrested a suspect from Washington DC. The accused has carried out several incidents in two cities of America, New York and Washington DC. Earlier, the picture of the person was captured in the CCTV installed on the road of both the cities. After which the police team caught the accused with the help of local people.
Helping people to catch the gunman
Police officers say the mayors of New York City and Washington DC appealed to the public for help on Monday in their search for the gunman, because investigators didn’t know much about the unidentified gunman as of Monday. But with the help of local people, Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and New York City Mayor Eric Adams, police managed to nab the accused.
