Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh Police got a big success when they found a bundle of currency notes from a Scorpio with Haryana number plate. Police got this success during vehicle checking in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. Actually, vehicles were being checked on Monday evening at Bhagirath Ganga outpost under Kotwali city police station of Bijnor district, during which Rs 10 lakh was recovered from the Scorpio.
According to UP Police, in view of the Lok Sabha elections, the Bijnor Police team seized Rs 10 lakh from a Scorpio with Haryana number plate during vehicle checking. This was confirmed by Static Magistrate Mohammad Irfan. He told that 20 bundles of Rs 500 each were seized from the vehicle. The money was recovered from the car of Mohit Garg, resident of Sapla village of Rohtak district of Haryana. Mohit Garg could not give a satisfactory answer regarding the cash.
Police say that the matter is being investigated. It was told that Rs 10 lakh cash was in a bag. The bag was kept hidden in the Scorpio itself. This bag was found when the police team thoroughly investigated the vehicle during vehicle checking. When the police team opened the bag, they were shocked to see the pile of notes inside. The police immediately took possession of the notes and counted them. After counting it turned out to be Rs 10 lakh. The police is busy gathering information about whose cash it is and where it came from.
