Bemetara (Naiduniya News). National Pulse Polio Campaign was launched on Sunday at the polio booth of village Bijabhath, Block Bemetara. The program was started by Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Leena Mandavi by giving food to the children. Polio vaccine was given to 82 children of Bijabhath. The target is to feed 276 children in the age group of zero to five years. In Bemetara Nagar, children were given polio doses through booths in all wards. Volunteers and volunteers of the residents of the city took part in it. Councilor Neetu Kothari administered medicine in ward number 11. He told that two booths were made here. Earlier, preparations were made for this campaign by giving information to all the houses.
A target has been set to provide food to all 96 thousand 676 children in the district. To make the Pulse Polio campaign a success, 785 polio booths have been set up in the district. Bemetara new bus stand, in front of City Kotwali police station Bemetara, where polio medicine can be administered to the incoming passengers and polio booths have been made in all Anganwadi centers and wards. Polio doses will be given to the missing children at booths on the first day and door-to-door visits on the second day.
In Bijabhath, Sarpanch Pusaiah Kurre, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Pradeep Kumar Ghosh, State Consultant Dipti Chandrakar, Kavita Chandrakar, RMNCH Advisor Shobhika Gajpal, DPHNO Hina Sinha, Office Assistant Vaccination, Devendra Namdev, Sector Supervisor Prakash Bharti, Anganwadi worker and helper , Gamitanin, Kotwar, Health Department team and general public were present.
Former Mayor Vijay also gave dose
In Ward Four, former Municipality President Vijay Sinha started the campaign by giving polio drops. Former city board general minister Vikash Tamboli was present on the occasion.
Vatsala Sanstha gave gifts to children
The Vatsala Sanstha, which is working for the health and education of children, also participated in the Pulse Polio campaign. The parents were made aware to go to the booth and give polio dose to the children. From 10 am to 4 pm, the members of the organization gave medicines, balloons, chocolates, favorite snacks etc. to the children in Gunnerboard, Tala, Bijabhat. Indrani Sonwani, Anganwadi worker of Gunnerboard said that this was a unique initiative, in which the children were happy to receive the gifts. Sarpanch Lokeswari Verma, Mitanin Parvati Yadu, Anjali, COVID Volunteer Shailendra Verma etc. were present along with Vatsala executive members on this occasion.
Campaign also started in Thankhamharia
Under the Pulse Polio campaign, children between the age group of zero to five years were given pulse polio dose on Sunday with the help of Anganwadi workers and helpers. Under this, 100 percent children were given food.
Even in Saja, the dose given to the children
In the Government Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Saja, the children of the city were given polio drops by the Anganwadi workers since morning.
