Meanwhile, the Congress has started preparations to take its candidates to a safe haven, indicating an alliance after the results are out. At present, there is information about the candidates being kept in a resort in Goa itself. Chief Minister Sawant met the PM in Delhi on Tuesday. After this he went to Mumbai and met Fadnavis.

Meanwhile, the Congress has become fully alert to save its candidates from falling apart. The party has given the responsibility of handling these candidates to Maharashtra’s Minister of State for Home, Satej Patil. The party is preparing to send its candidates to Rajasthan. Apart from this, a strategy is also being made to get support from Aam Aadmi Party and TMC. In the last assembly elections, the Congress got 17 out of 40 seats. However, the BJP had scuttled the Congress’s plan to form the government by engaging all the independent MLAs and regional parties.
