Lucknow. After losing its seats in Rampur and Azamgarh in UP, the ruckus in the Samajwadi Party (SP) alliance seems to be increasing. Alliance leader and Suheldev Bharat Samaj Party (SubhaSP) Chief Omprakash Rajbhar has once again targeted SP President Akhilesh Yadav. Rajbhar told the media that if Akhilesh had come out of the AC room and campaigned at both the places, he would not have seen this day. Earlier also Rajbhar had said that instead of resting in the AC room, Akhilesh Yadav should visit the entire state by coming out of the AC room to strengthen his party and prepare it for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Rajbhar further taunted and said that he himself along with 324 workers remained in Azamgarh for 12 days, otherwise SP candidate Dharmendra Yadav would have been defeated by lakhs of votes instead of thousands. Rajbhar also enumerated another reason for the defeat. He said that Akhilesh repeated the mistake of assembly elections in Rampur and Azamgarh also. In both the places, he gave ticket by disclosing the names of the candidates on the last day of nomination. The Subhaspa chief said that Akhilesh Yadav did not learn any lesson even from the debacle of 2022. As a result of which SP has to lose both its strongholds Rampur and Azamgarh.
Let us tell you that Rampur is considered to be the stronghold of SP leader Azam Khan. In the parliamentary by-election held there, Ghanshyam Lodhi of BJP defeated Asim Raza of SP by a margin of 42000 votes. Whereas, Akhilesh Yadav’s cousin Dharmendra Yadav was defeated by BJP’s Dinesh Lal Yadav alias Nirahua by 8000 votes from Azamgarh seat. Whereas, in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2019, Azam Khan from Rampur and Akhilesh Yadav from Azamgarh won with bumper votes. By the way, if we talk about the SP alliance, then the great party has already left out of it. Mahan Dal President Keshavdev Maurya had also made many allegations against Akhilesh during his separation from SP.
