Chandigarh. A new khichdi is going to be cooked from today in the politics of Punjab. Former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu is going to meet CM Bhagwant Mann in the evening. It is discussed that Sidhu will soon join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by saying goodbye to the Congress. AAP and Sidhu are yet to comment on these discussions. Sidhu has definitely written in his tweet that there will be a discussion with Bhagwant Mann about the economy of Punjab. He also wrote that only sincere and concerted efforts can benefit Punjab.

Last month also Sidhu had praised Bhagwant Mann. He said that Bhagwant is very honest. I never pointed a finger at him. If they fight, they have my support. Sidhu had said that he would support Bhagwant Mann irrespective of the party line. The reason for this he told the battle of Punjab. However, before that Sidhu had also told Bhagwant Mann to be a rubber gudda. Along with this, the Punjab government was also accused of misuse of the police. There was never any reaction from the Aam Aadmi Party or the Punjab government on these statements of Sidhu. Now it has to be seen that what the meeting of both of them will give in the politics of Punjab.
Navjot Singh Sidhu was earlier in BJP. Then he came to Congress. Congress made him the state president of Punjab. Sidhu then opened a front against the then CM Captain Amarinder Singh. After which Amarinder said goodbye to the Congress just before the elections. Amarinder had also accused Sidhu of being pro-Pakistan. Sidhu’s new CM Charanjit Singh did not even get along with Channi. Along with this, he had thirty-six figures from all the other Congress leaders. After losing power in Punjab, now an atmosphere has been created in the Congress against Sidhu. In such a situation, Mann and his meeting seems to be pointing towards a new political alliance.
