New Delhi. Summer is at its peak in the country. People in many states are troubled by the heat wave. The demand for electricity has also increased due to the heat. A few months ago, there was a shortage of coal in the country, after which a big power crisis had arisen. Now again due to the shortage of coal, 7 states of the country will have to suffer from power cuts. Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Goa, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka are included in this list. In all these states, the general public will face power cuts.
Big power crisis in Uttarakhand
First of all, let’s talk about Uttarakhand, where the biggest power crisis is going to deepen. It is being said that the power demand in the state has reached 45.5 million units. While the availability is only up to 38.5 million units. After which the government has decided to cut power in cities and small villages. However, for how long there will be no electricity, it has not come to the fore. In other states also suddenly the demand for electricity has increased in view of the heat, which is more than the availability. In many states, there is power cut for several hours. The surprising thing is that for the first time in 38 years, this has happened when suddenly the demand for electricity has suddenly increased so much which is more than the availability.
26 days coal stock required
It is being said that there has been a shortage of coal in the country since the attack of Ukraine and Russia and the supply of coal will be affected in the future. Due to this, the stock of coal has started decreasing and the demand for electricity is increasing. It is believed that in the next few days some states of the country will face severe power crisis. Normally the country has 26 days stock of coal but except the coal rich states, all the states are facing coal shortage which is affecting the power supply.
