New Delhi. A big news is coming out about election strategist Prashant Kishor. Prashant Kishor has categorically refused to join Congress. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has given this information through his tweet. He tweeted that, ‘After discussion with Prashant Kishor, Congress President has constituted an Empowered Working Group 2024. and has invited them to join the party as part of a group with defined responsibility, but they have refused to join the party. We appreciate his efforts and suggestions given to the party. Let us inform that earlier, Sonia Gandhi formed an Empowered Action Group 2024 by meeting with veteran Congress leaders on the proposal of election strategist Prashant Kishor. On the other hand, Prashant Kishor has also given information about this by tweeting. He said, ‘I have rejected the liberal offer of the Congress to join the party as part of the EAG and take responsibility for the elections. In my humble opinion, the party needs more leadership and collective will than me to fix the deep-rooted structural problems through transformational reforms.
Let us inform that the discussion of Prashant Kishor joining the Congress was going on for a long time. It was believed that he may join the party to strengthen the position of Congress in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. On the other hand, even among the top leaders of the party, there was an agreement about his joining. The Congress high command was also seen enthusiastically for the past few days amid discussions about PK’s involvement. It was being told that as soon as PK joins the Congress, he will work towards improving the situation of the party. But now he has categorically refused to join the party, which is no less than a setback for the Congress.
