India Post will charge
IPPB i.e. India Post Payment Bank has started charging closure charges for its digital savings account. If you have a savings account with India Post Payment Bank, then you will have to pay this charge. This charge will be Rs 150 and GST will have to be paid separately. Changes will be seen in digital payment
RBI has prepared for major changes in digital payments. Proprietary QR code users will move to one or more interoperable QR codes. This transfer process must be completed by March 31, 2022. Along with this, the Reserve Bank said that no PSO will introduce any new proprietary code for any payment transaction.
Rules for filling cash in ATM
The rules for filling cash in ATMs of banks are going to change in March. Significantly, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended the last date for banks to implement the use of lockable cassettes only for filling cash in ATMs to March 2022. At present, most of the ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) are filled with cash through open cash top-up or on-the-spot injection of cash into the machine. In order to do away with the existing system of dispensing cash at ATMs, RBI has directed banks to ensure that only lockable cassettes are used at the time of cash replenishment at ATMs.
