New Delhi. Today, public representatives will vote in the Parliament House and state legislatures to choose the new President of India. The MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and MLAs in the state assemblies will vote in the Parliament. For this post, there is a contest between Adivasi Draupadi Murmu from the NDA side and Yashwant Sinha, a former BJP leader and former minister of finance and foreign affairs in the Atal Bihari government, from the opposition. It is believed that NDA candidate Draupadi can get more than 6.67 lakh votes. Apart from BJP and NDA allies in favor of Draupadi, there are BJD, YSR Congress, BSP, AIADMK, JDS, Telugu Desam, Shiromani Akali Dal, Shiv Sena and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. All these parties are of non-NDA and opposition. The value of votes in each state is different in this election. This price is fixed on the basis of the population of the state.
The value of one vote in the most populous state of UP is 208. There are total 83824 votes from here. The value of each vote in Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand is 176. Maharashtra’s vote value is 175, Bihar’s 173, Andhra Pradesh’s 159. The vote value of each MLA from Sikkim is 7, Mizoram and Arunachal have 8, Nagaland 9, Meghalaya 17, Manipur 18 and Goa MLA 20. Different colored ballot papers will be given to MPs and MLAs for voting. MPs will get green and MLAs will get pink ballot papers. In this, you will have to vote in favor of your candidate with a special pen. Voting will be held from 10 am to 5 pm.
