Expansion
Sonia Rohilla of Panipat went to Ukraine to study medicine. His family needed to raise 20 lakh rupees for the initial need of education. This was a huge amount for the middle class Rohilla family, which they met with the help of some family members and some on loan. But now with the Ukraine-Russia war, the future of Sonia Rohilla’s medical studies looks completely dark. His institute is also not in a position to tell what will happen next for the education of the children and how the medical studies will be completed.
Sonia Rohilla’s cousin Subhash Rohilla, who lives in Paris, told AnyTV that one year’s fee has to be paid in advance for studies. Along with this, about 15 lakh rupees had to be paid in advance for some other expenses. But now it is difficult to say anything about when this war between Russia-Ukraine will end, and when the studies will start after that. Here, the serious crisis of repaying the money taken on the loan has come upon the family.
How to repay the loan taken up to about 40 lakh rupees
Various educational institutions of Ukraine charge from Rs 35 lakh to Rs 50 lakh for medical studies. On an average, a student needs to arrange up to 40 lakh rupees to study medicine in Ukraine. Most of the students repay this huge amount by selling their family property, taking education loan from banks or taking loan against interest. Students and their families hope that after completing their education, they will be able to get a good job in European countries and they can easily repay this loan amount.
But suddenly the war between Russia-Ukraine broke out, along with the education of the children, the crisis has deepened on their family members. The families are unable to understand how they will pay this amount now. The interest loan on them will continue to increase and the pressure of banks will continue to increase. This crisis is not on a few students, the number of such students can be more than 20 thousand.
Subhash Rohilla says that this amount of 35-40 lakh rupees is a huge amount for a middle class family. Being caught in the crisis of such a huge amount brings trouble to the whole family. The government should take measures to help these families to pay off the debt. At the same time, banks should not take interest at least from the students after considering the situations.
officer unable to say anything
Haryana’s Atul Seth, who is helping Indian students out of Ukraine, told AnyTV that his first priority is to get the students out safely. Only then can we talk about education and other problems. At present, the situation at this time is that all the educational institutions have been closed. Teachers are also unable to tell at this time what will happen next and when.
A large number of Ukrainian students and teachers have also joined the war to save their country. Ukraine’s physically weak people are taking refuge outside the country, while capable people are gearing up to fight with the Russian army. People are taking training and as much as possible are engaged in the service of their country from their side.
first life saving crisis
There is a danger in front of the students to save their life before studies. When AnyTV contacted Vikas, a student who went to study in Ukraine, he said that the first thing before us is to save our life. The situation here (on the Ukrainian border) is becoming more and more serious. The students are being forced to spend the whole night in the open in the severe cold. Vikas said that before him there is a crisis of saving his life first. Only then will they be able to think of something else.
Along with Vikas, more than two dozen of his companions have reached the Romania border at around 2 o’clock Indian time on Tuesday. Efforts are being made to get them out of here. Some help is expected from the Ministry of Government of India. Indian officials are busy in providing facilities like food etc. to the children. Efforts are being made to bring them to India by plane as soon as possible.
