Chandigarh. During the assembly elections held in Punjab earlier this year, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal had promised that he would bring youth out of drug addiction if the government is formed in the state. How much this promise was fulfilled, it can be understood from this that an MLA of Kejriwal’s party was seen roaming around telling the alcoholics that his party’s government has made liquor cheap and now they can take advantage of it. The name of the AAP MLA who is promoting cheap liquor in Punjab is Gurdit Sekhon. A video has surfaced. In which Gurdit is telling the alcoholics present in a bar that liquor has become cheap. The drinkers are also looking very happy to hear his words.
After the new excise policy, AAP MLA Gurdit Sekhon today visited a Tavern where he appealed to the Alcohol consumers to take care of themselves & start saving money from the decreased amount & buy vegetables & fruit or eat “Egg Bhurji” pic.twitter.com/jbq5F4mX4m

In this video, Gurdit Sekhon is also heard telling the alcoholics that now they have to spend less money on alcohol, then they can also eat vegetables, fruits and egg bhurji. This is the same Punjab, where the consumption of liquor and other intoxicants is continuously gaining momentum from youth to old people. A film named ‘Udta Punjab’ was also made on it. Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann keep saying that eliminating drug addiction is their priority, but only their party people are busy promoting liquor.
After the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government, the data showed that in the two months after Bhagwant Mann took over in Punjab, more than 10 youths lost their lives due to drug abuse. Apart from this, more than 20 farmers also committed suicide. Whereas, Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann kept saying that not a single farmer would have to commit suicide after the formation of the AAP government in Punjab. At the same time, the promise of 300 units of free electricity also became a reality only for the poor. Whereas, the promise of giving 1000 rupees every month to women and girls has not yet become a ground reality.
