New Delhi. Ahead of the assembly elections in Punjab (Punjab Assembly Election 2022), the stir between political parties has intensified. Particularly the tussle between the ruling party Congress, BJP and Aam Aadmi Party has also started. The era of defection of leaders is also going on. BJP is constantly trying to include Congress leaders in its side. This is the reason why Congress is nervous. In this panic, the Congress on Thursday released the list of 40 candidates of the party. In fact, all the leaders who are leaving the party in the Congress so far are citing ignorance and factionalism as a big reason.
Congress is very upset due to change of party leaders in Punjab. Especially because of his joining BJP, the danger for the Congress is increasing. In such a situation, the Congress has fixed the names of 40 candidates just before the elections on Thursday. According to the information received, the list will be released after the names are agreed upon by the Central Election Committee.

Along with the Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party has also released the sixth list of 8 candidates on Thursday. With this, the names of a total of 96 candidates of Aam Aadmi Party have been announced.
That’s why in a hurry the Congress took the step
There is a big reason behind the sudden selection of 40 candidates of Congress. In fact, two days ago, the Congress suffered a setback when two party MLAs joined the BJP. One of them is Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa, the younger brother of senior Congress leader and MP Pratap Singh Bajwa.
Ahead of the elections, the party is being seen as an attempt to stop this stampede. Congress has finalized the names of candidates for 40 out of 117 seats and the consent of the screening committee has been obtained on these names.

In fact, factionalism is still increasing the trouble in the Congress. After Amarinder Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s competition is now going on with CM Channi as well. This is the reason that due to factionalism among Congress leaders, the tussle over tickets may increase even more.
Just before the elections, the party is worried about the MLAs switching to the BJP camp and a meeting of the Screening Committee, headed by Ajay Maken, was held in Delhi on the same issue. Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was also present in the meeting. Also, Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu was also present in this meeting.
