Patiala. There was a time, when Shiv Sena used to raise its voice against every anti-national force, but after forming the government in Maharashtra with Nationalist Congress, NCP and Congress, the face of Shiv Sena has changed. Shiv Sena expelled its own leader Harish Singla from the party in Punjab for raising his voice against Khalistan. Singla took out an anti-Khalistan march in Patiala on Friday. He has also been arrested by the police in this case. Shiv Sena’s Punjab chief Yograj Sharma issued a statement saying that Singla is fired due to anti-party activities. According to Yograj, this decision has been taken by Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aditya Thackeray and National Secretary Anil Desai.
Yograj said that Singla was the party’s state vice-president and used to call himself the working president. He also said that Shiv Sena had told Patiala Police 10 days ago that Shiv Sena has nothing to do with Harish Singla’s march. Singla retaliated on this and said that Yograj Sharma cannot expel him from the party. Yograj can only add new members to the party and I am a senior leader. Singla said that 15 days ago Gurpatwant Singh Pannoon of banned organization Sikhs for Justice SFJ had announced to celebrate Khalistan Foundation Day. If they can get pro-Khalistan slogans raised, then why can’t we raise slogans in protest.
Let us tell you that there was a lot of uproar near Kali Mandir in Patiala yesterday regarding the procession in favor of Khalistan and against it. Both sides had raised swords and pelted stones. The police had to fire in the air here. Several policemen and some people including an SHO were injured in the incident. After this tension spread in the area.
