New Delhi. The political scenario in India has heated up over the controversial comments made by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri in Parliament against BSP MP Danish Ali. The incident has increased tension in the political arena and has drawn sharp criticism from various quarters. Adding fuel to the fire, Rahul Gandhi, a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress, met Danish Ali on Friday to discuss the issue. During this meeting, Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal and MP Imran Pratapgarhi were also present. After talking to him, Rahul Gandhi addressed the media and said that “In the market of hatred, the shop of love is opening. Danish’s case has made it clear that this is not just an attack on him, but an attack on democracy and the Constitution.”
It is regrettable that shops of hatred are spreading rapidly on the streets and now even in the hallowed halls of the new Parliament. Lok Sabha is our protector.”
Danish Ali’s emotional reaction
Danish Ali looked emotional after meeting Rahul Gandhi and shared his feelings on the encounter. He expressed gratitude for Rahul’s support and revealed that the meeting had reassured him that he was not alone. Danish Ali said, “Rahul boosted my morale. He told me not to take these words to heart and take care of my health. I found solace in their words and felt good to know I was not alone.”
He further emphasized that Bidhuri’s comments were not just a personal attack but an attack on democracy and the Constitution. Ali said, “It is sad to see that shops of hatred are opening on the streets and now, even inside the new Parliament. Lok Sabha is our guardian.”
a call to action
In the light of Bidhuri’s indecent remarks, Danish Ali has written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla urging him to take action against the BJP MP. Ali strongly believes that the Lok Sabha Speaker will address the issue appropriately. He said, “I have full confidence that the Lok Sabha Speaker will take action in this matter. Everything is on record. However, if no action is taken against Bidhuri and my rights are not protected, I will consider resigning from the Lok Sabha.”
The letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla highlights that during parliamentary proceedings, Bidhuri made highly unparliamentary and objectionable remarks against Danish Ali, which have been recorded in the official records of the Lok Sabha.
