Jaipur. The impact of the farmers’ movement is once again visible on the trains of North Western Railway zone. Due to the farmers’ movement, more than 15 trains of NWR have been canceled in the last 3 days and this trend is continuing. NWR reviews the situation regularly and cancels trains on a daily basis. But this is affecting the journey of thousands of railway passengers. On one hand, summer special trains are being started for the convenience of passengers and on the other hand, they are being canceled due to the farmers’ movement.
Farmers are once again protesting towards Punjab regarding their demands. The farmers’ movement is directly impacting the country’s railways. In this sequence, many trains of NWR are also being canceled daily. More than 15 trains have been canceled in the last 3 days. For the safety of trains and passengers, NWR is canceling trains every day. According to NWR, it is reviewing the situation regularly. Trains are being canceled on the affected routes. Even on 21st April, 5 trains have been cancelled.

Due to the farmers’ movement, rail traffic is being greatly affected. Under this, on April 21, train number 04488 Hansi-Rohtak, train number 04573 Sirsa-Ludhiana, train number 04743 Hisar-Ludhiana, train number 04745 Churu-Ludhiana and train number 14653 Hisar-Amritsar have been cancelled.
Punjab and Haryana route is being affected more.
Like the trains of Rajasthan, this movement is having an impact in the rest of the country too. Trains going through Punjab to other states are either being canceled or their routes are being changed. Travelers now have to use other resources to go towards Punjab. Especially its impact is maximum on Rohtak, Hansi, Sirsa, Ludhiana, Hisar and Amritsar routes. Overall, the passengers going to Punjab are not able to avail the benefit of summer special trains at present. NWR says that as soon as the situation becomes normal, all trains will be started again.
