Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray on Sunday said that he will visit Ayodhya on June 5 to have darshan of Lord Ram. Along with this, he has appealed to ‘Hindu brothers’ to be prepared if loudspeakers are not removed from mosques by May 3. He said that if the loudspeaker does not go away, then he will give a befitting reply.
Thackeray said that the use of loudspeakers for Azaan is more of a social issue than a religious one. The MNS chief said he did not want the peace of the society to be disturbed but “if the use of loudspeakers continues, they (Muslims) will also have to hear our prayers over loudspeakers.”
Talking to the media in Pune, he said, ‘On May 1, I will address a public meeting in Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). On June 5, I will go to Ayodhya along with other MNS workers for darshan. I appeal to other people also to come to Ayodhya.
Asked about the purpose of visiting Ayodhya, Thackeray said that he has not gone out for a long time. It is interesting that in the midst of a tussle between the state’s ruling Shiv Sena and Raj Thackeray, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut had said on Saturday that state minister Aaditya Thackeray would visit Ayodhya next month.
loudspeaker is social issue not religious
The MNS chief said, “People think loudspeakers over a mosque is a religious issue, but it is a social issue. If you want to use loudspeaker five times a day, we will play Hanuman Chalisa five times outside the mosque. I appeal to all Hindu brothers to be ready.
MNS is preparing for this
“We will wait till May 3, when Ramzan will end, but if they don’t stop it, and if they think their religion is bigger than the judiciary, then we will do whatever it takes,” he said. MNS is preparing for this. Thackeray said that the MNS never wanted communal riots or disturbance of peace in the country. He said the Muslim community should look at the demand for removal of loudspeakers from mosques from a human angle.
