Jaipur. Under the leadership of Ashok Gehlot, there have been many incidents of communal violence in Rajasthan, but now murders have started taking place. After every incident, CM Gehlot claimed every time that the government is strict and such elements will be dealt with strictly. Still no concrete steps were taken. Talking about the statistics, in the last 4 years, there have been 6 major incidents of communal violence in Rajasthan. And now a Hindu tailor was even murdered in Udaipur. After the latest incident, Gehlot tried to shift the matter towards BJP. Instead of accepting the failure of his own government, he said that PM Narendra Modi should address the country and condemn the incidents of violence.
If the incidents of communal violence during the Congress government in Rajasthan are seen sequentially, then yesterday ie on Tuesday, Kanhaiyalal, who worked as a tailor in Udaipur, was killed by two people. The reason was that her 8-year-old son had posted on social media in favor of Nupur Sharma, who was the spokesperson of BJP and allegedly made controversial remarks about the Prophet. Talking about the earlier incidents, on May 2 this year, there was fierce violence in Gehlot’s hometown Jodhpur on the occasion of Parashuram Jayanti. Prior to that, on April 2, a community had committed violence during a bike rally on the occasion of Hindu New Year in Karauli, Rajasthan. More than 40 people were injured and many shops were torched.
Violence broke out between two communities in Jhalawar on 19 July 2021. There were fires in houses, shops and vehicles. The police had then booked 200 people. At the same time, communal violence broke out after the killing of two youths in Chhabra in Baran district on 11 April 2021. There was a lot of stone pelting and arson here too. There was violence and arson during an agitation in Dungarpur on 24 September 2020. In which 35 policemen were injured. However, this was not communal violence. Another incident of communal violence took place in Tonk on 8 October 2019. Violence broke out after stone pelting in Malpura town during Dussehra procession.
