Jaipur. The Congress government of Rajasthan is not even following the order of the High Court. The matter is of PTI Recruitment 2016. The Rajasthan High Court had ordered to give the benefit of reservation to the Jat candidates of Bharatpur and Dholpur in this recruitment, but it was not done. Now the High Court has issued a contempt notice to the Secretary and Education Secretary of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) for not following the order. Taking a strict stand, Justice Prakash Gupta of the Rajasthan High Court issued this notice on the contempt plea of Ajay Faujdar and other candidates. After the issuance of the notice, now the answer is being prepared on behalf of the officers.
Under the application for contempt, it has been said in the court that the Jat candidates of Bharatpur and Dholpur were excluded from the benefit of reservation in PTI recruitment. Later, the government again announced to give them the benefit of OBC reservation. In PTI recruitment, Jat candidates applied under the general category, but then the state government refused to give them the benefit of OBC reservation. According to the counsel for the petitioners, Ram Pratap Saini, this is an injustice to the Jat candidates and it is a wrong step of the government to not give reservation even after the order of the court.
When the Rajasthan government did not give the benefit of reservation to the Jat candidates, they filed an application against it in the High Court. On this, on 15 December 2021, the High Court had ordered the state government to give OBC reservation to Jat candidates. In the contempt petition, it has been said that this order is going to be for one year, but the state government has not complied with the order of the court. On this an appeal has been made to punish the guilty. On this, the court has issued a notice and sought answers from RPSC and Education Department.
