In Karauli district of Rajasthan, section 144 has been imposed in the district after stones were pelted at Tabe’s Tori Hatwara market on a bike rally being taken out on the occasion of Hindu New Year. Several people are reported to have been injured in the stone pelting incident. Angry people set fire to 5-6 bags outside the hospital.
Those injured in stone pelting were taken to the hospital. At the same time, a seriously injured person has been referred to Jaipur. The administration has imposed a precautionary curfew in the area. Top police officers have reached the spot. Additional police force has been deployed to maintain peace and order in Karauli. ADG Law and Order Hawa Singh Ghumaria has appealed to the people to maintain peace.
CM Gehlot said – maintain peace
CM Ashok Gehlot tweeted and wrote – DD has taken detailed information about the incident in Karauli after talking to the police. The police have been ordered to deal strictly with every miscreant. I appeal to the general public to maintain peace and cooperate in maintaining law and order.
Karauli market closed in protest against the incident
After the stone pelting on one side, the administration has closed the market of Karauli city on the disturbance. District SP Shailendra Singh Indolia also reached the spot as soon as the stone pelting was reported. Heavy police Japta has been deployed at the spot since the incident. The police is explaining to the local people. People have also leveled many allegations against the police. At the same time, the fire brigade has reached the spot to control the arson. Police force has been deployed in the city. After the incident, the District Collector and the Superintendent of Police are taking rounds of the entire city.
600 policemen deployed
Additional forces have been deployed to maintain peace and order in Karauli. More than 600 policemen including 50 police officers have been deployed in Karauli. ADG Sanjib Narjhari, IG Bharat Meena, DIG Rahul Prakash and SP Mridul Kachhawa have been deployed. IG Bharatpur Prafulla Kumar Khamesra and IG Law and Order Bharat Meena have reached the spot. ADG Law and Order Hawa Singh Ghumaria has appealed for peace.
BJP targeted
BJP has targeted the Gehlot government on the Karauli incident. Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Singh Rathod said that the harshest punishment should be given to the accused. He said that this incident happened due to the short-sightedness of the police. Due to which anti-social elements pelted stones at the bike rally. He has strongly condemned the incident.
