Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the biggest attack on Congress and Indi Alliance till date. In a rally in Delhi on Wednesday, Modi said that the people of Congress and Indi Alliance have crossed the limits of appeasement for votes. Modi called Indi Alliance as Khan Market Gang. Narendra Modi said that Khan Market Gang not only wants to snatch the reservation of Dalits, backward and tribals and give it to Muslims, but these people also want to give the country’s property to Waqf Board, want to select players on the basis of religion in sports, want to give bank loans on the basis of religion, want to give 15 percent of the country’s budget to their vote bank. Modi said that when he presents this reality in front of the country, he is accused of doing Hindu-Muslim politics but “Modi is not worried about votes, but about the country”, so he will keep telling the truth. Will keep exposing the intentions of Indi Alliance.
Modi talked about the anti-Sikh riots in Delhi in 1984 and raised the issue of corruption charges against Congress and Kejriwal. On the other hand, Arvind Kejriwal said that no matter how much Modi tries to divert the attention of the people, the Indi Alliance government will be formed on 4 June. Voting is to be held in Delhi on 25 May. Therefore, Modi held two rallies in Delhi on Wednesday. Modi appeared in a different colour in these rallies. He put before the people the full details of what happened during the Congress rule, what all troubles the people of Delhi faced and what kind of conspiracies the people of Congress and Indi Alliance are hatching now. Modi said that ever since he told the people of the country the truth that Congress wants to give reservation to Muslims on the basis of religion, the leaders of the opposition parties have been after him, accusing him of doing Hindu-Muslim politics, but the PM said, “Modi will not stop… he will not be scared. He will put the truth before the people.” After this Modi said that there are three things common between the Congress and the parties involved in the Indy Alliance – all of them are extremely communal, all of them are extremely casteist and all of them are extremely nepotistic. Modi said that now the country has to choose between those who believe in Nation First and those who believe in Family First.
After this, Modi listed the works of his government and compared them with the sixty years of Congress rule. Modi reminded the people of Delhi of the anti-Sikh riots. He said that on one side there are those people who burnt Sikh brothers by putting burning tyres around their necks, on the other side there is Modi who sent the rioters to jail and got them punished. Modi spoke of Arvind Kejriwal. Modi did not take Kejriwal’s name but said that the people of Delhi are looking at the hardcore corrupt people who came to power by promising honesty, now even the courts are surprised to see their deeds. Modi said that the people of Indi Alliance want to x-ray the property of the citizens of the country, but now Modi will x-ray the property of these people and return the looted property of the country to the country.
On the other hand, Arvind Kejriwal was doing a roadshow in Malviya Nagar area of Delhi with his wife Sunita. During the roadshow, Kejriwal replied to Modi. He said that now he is sure that Modi is going to lose on 4th June, he is afraid of losing, that is why instead of talking about real issues, he is talking about Mangalsutra. Kejriwal said that when the Indi Alliance government is formed in the country on 4th June, he will first get full statehood for Delhi and will set the law and order situation in Delhi right.
Women’s safety is a big issue in Delhi at the moment and the case of assault on Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister’s residence is in the news. Arvind Kejriwal did not say anything on this issue. He has been silent on this issue for a week. However, in an interview given to PTI, he only said that many things are being said from both the sides, hence this case should be investigated impartially. In response, Swati Maliwal said that she is being threatened, trolled, her character is being assassinated, the Chief Minister was roaming with the accused, calling him to his house, and now he is saying There should be a fair investigation. What could be a bigger irony than this?
One thing is certain that the issue of assault on Swati Maliwal will cost Kejriwal heavily. There will be legal troubles and political losses too. As far as Kejriwal’s allegation that Modi is raising emotional issues in his speeches is concerned, Kejriwal is also doing road shows with his wife Sunita these days, and is getting her to give speeches in which she is saying that if Modi is voted for, Kejriwal will have to go to jail again. What is this if not an emotional appeal? Kejriwal is saying that Modi is talking about mangalsutra and Muslims, while Kejriwal and the leaders of Indy Alliance are also saying that if Modi comes, then dictatorship will come, the constitution will end, reservation for Dalits, backward classes and tribals will end. Both are the same kind of things.
The fact is that Arvind Kejriwal’s government is in power in Delhi since 2013. During this time, two Lok Sabha elections have been held and BJP won all the seven seats in Delhi. There is a difference this time. Now there is an alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party, both are fighting together, but this time also the situation does not seem difficult for BJP because Arvind Kejriwal came to power by agitating against corruption and today he himself is trapped in many cases of bribery. Kejriwal himself is on 21 days interim bail in the liquor scam case. Apart from this, Kejriwal has joined hands with the same Congress whose leaders he came to power by claiming to send them to jail on corruption charges. Modi said the same thing today. That is why Kejriwal also knows that this time he is on a weak wicket. (Rajat Sharma)
