A new problem arose for Congress in the Lok Sabha elections. 48 hours before the second phase of voting, Congress think tank Sam Pitroda, sitting in America, made a blast whose echo was heard in the country’s politics on Wednesday. The entire Congress came on the back foot. Sam Pitroda went further than what Prime Minister Narendra Modi had accused Congress of. Sam Pitroda said that there is inheritance tax in America, there is no such law in India, but it should be considered. That is, if after the death of a person, at least half of his property should go to the government, only half should be given to his children. This statement of Sam Pitroda became the biggest issue of the election campaign. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, J. From P. Nadda, Yogi Adityanath to Sudhanshu Trivedi, everyone made it an issue. Modi said that now the meaning of Modi said that the slogan of Congress is – “Loot game, with life also, after life also”. Modi said that till now the talks were taking place through gestures but now the prince’s guru has exposed the whole game.
This statement of Sam Pitroda became a noose around the neck of Congress. From Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi to Jairam Ramesh, everyone tried to clarify this issue. The inheritance tax law in America is something like this. Suppose someone owns a property worth $100 million and when he dies, only 45 percent of his property goes to his children. The remaining 55 percent is taken over by the government. This is a very interesting law. This law says that you earned property in your generation. But when you die, you will have to give not all but half of your property for the public welfare. Pitroda said the same thing in the interview. Pitroda said, I find this to be appropriate, there is no such law in India, in India if a person owns property worth 10 billion dollars, then after his death his entire property goes to his children, the public Nothing comes to hand. American law says that half of this property will go to the public i.e. the government. Pitroda said, there should be a public debate on these issues, I don’t know what the result will be. But, when we talk about redistribution of wealth, we are talking about new policies and programs that will be for the public good.
Amit Shah said that the intentions of Congress have now come before the country. Sam Pitroda formulates the policies of Congress, his statement should not be taken lightly, Congress wants to take over the government’s property and give it to Muslims. Amit Shah said that if this is not the intention of the Congress, then it should remove the issue of survey from its manifesto and openly say that the first right on the country’s resources does not lie with the Muslims but with the poor. Sam Pitroda slept after giving his statement in America but Congress leaders lost their sleep here. When the controversy over Sam’s statement increased, Congress tried to give clarification. Rahul Gandhi’s political advisor Jairam Ramesh said that Sam Pitroda has been his friend, philosopher and guide but whatever Pitroda said on Inheritance Tax is his personal opinion, it has nothing to do with Congress, Congress agrees with Sam Pitroda’s statement. Doesn’t keep. Jairam Ramesh said that Modi has distorted Sam Pitroda’s statement to create sensationalism. In India TV’s election platform program on Badhwar, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar explained the meaning of Sam Pitroda’s statement in detail. S. Jaishankar said that it would be wrong to look at Sam Pitroda’s statement in isolation, it is part of a well-thought-out strategy of the Congress, the Congress manifesto, the statements of Congress leaders and now Sam Pitroda’s statement only shows that the Congress is not interested in the property of the people. She wants to conduct a survey and give it to a particular group.
Sam Pitroda has a habit of first setting fire, then trying to sprinkle water. This is the same Sam Pitroda who, before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, had said that “what happened happened” regarding the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. This statement of his had become a big issue. Modi had raised Sam Pitroda’s statement in election rallies. Even at that time, Congress had rejected Sam’s statement as his personal opinion, but the whole country saw what the result was. Congress got very few seats. This time during the elections, Sam again opened his mouth. Now it is said that after death, half of the person’s property should come into the possession of the government. Rahul Gandhi is already talking about conducting a survey of people’s property and taking over excess property from the government and distributing it among the people. Congress has talked about the survey in its manifesto. Now if we look at all three things together, the same meaning emerges as to what Modi said. Therefore, there is no chance for Congress to defend itself on this issue. Because Congress is saying that the property of those who have more property will be taken and distributed among those who have nothing. Sudhanshu Trivedi said that this means that land, property and money are not owned by those people who have come from other countries, who are infiltrators, and who are the infiltrators? To whom does Congress want to give the property? Modi is telling this again and again. Even on Wednesday, Modi said that Congress wants to give people’s property to its special vote bank. In the rally in Surguja, Modi said that Congress is giving reservation for SC-ST and OBC quota to Muslims, Karnataka is the proof of this where Congress is in government and there Muslims are getting 4 percent reservation from OBC quota.
