Muzaffarnagar. Bharatiya Kisan Union’s national spokesperson Chaudhary Rakesh Tikait says that a young man made indecent remarks and threatened to kill him after calling him. Rakesh Tikait got a call on Sunday around 11 am from a person. The person talking on the phone gave his name as Sanju. He indecently threatened to kill them. The matter was reported to the Muzaffarnagar Civil Line Police Station. On information, Circle Officer Rakesh Sharma reached Rakesh Tikait’s residence on Circular Road and inquired about the matter.
Circle Officer Rakesh Sharma said that the police started the investigation by taking the threatening mobile number on surveillance. In this regard, a preliminary complaint has been lodged against an unknown person on behalf of Rampuri Prajwal Tyagi, a resident of Civil Lines police station.
Rakesh Tikait said that the unknown person who called, even abused the family. He said that not only him, but the family members are being threatened with death by calling the number of the caller.
Tikait said that he had been threatened several times in 13 months during the farmers’ agitation, which he kept on informing the Ghaziabad police. Cases were registered in some and investigations were conducted in some, but the accused were not arrested. In Muzaffarnagar also, a case was registered earlier for threatening, but no action was taken. Now after receiving the threat again, the report has been registered, but the police action will be awaited.
He said that if the police had taken effective action on the earlier complaints and arrested the accused, then such threats would have stopped.
Superintendent of Police Abhishek Yadav said that on the complaint of threatening Rakesh Tikait, a preliminary complaint has been lodged at the Civil Lines police station. By taking the mobile number on surveillance, the accused was soon detected and claimed to have arrested the accused soon.
