New Delhi. Rakesh Tikait has made a big announcement in Haridwar, Uttarakhand today amid protests over the Agneepath scheme. He said that rallies would be taken out in various headquarters of the state in support of the protesting youth. Various farmer leaders, including this Rakesh Tikait, had taken out an indignation rally, in which they demanded the withdrawal of Agneepath scheme from the Modi government at the Center. He has termed this scheme as injurious for the future of the youth. He said that after four years of service, what will the youth do in the form of employment through this scheme. The central government has not even thought about this. Not only this, he said that the central government is always interested in taking such decisions, which are often opposed by the people of the country. Along with this, in Rakesh Tikait, all the farmer leaders of the state have been called to protest outside the headquarters in support of the youth. On this occasion, other farmer leaders including Rakesh Tikait were seen wearing black bands in support of the youth.
He also said that the Central Government should consult the scholars before withdrawing this scheme. The government should give an explanation regarding the said scheme. But, nothing has been said about it yet. From which it is clear that double standard has been adopted before starting with the scheme. He also said that the way the youth will be made unemployed after four years, it is absolutely wrong, but these allegations have been completely denied by the central government. The central government clearly says that after serving in the army for four years, it will be easy for them to get jobs in other private institutions including paramilitary. At the same time, after serving in the army for four years, they will get training, it will help them to get jobs in other institutions.

It is worth noting that in the past, a scheme named Agneepath Yojana was started by the Central Government to recruit in the army. Under this scheme, youth army will get a chance to work in any one of the three organs. For which the age of youth has been fixed from 17.05 to 23 years. But, there is resentment among the youth about the fact that after four years they will become unemployed again. But, it has been clearly said by the government that this will not happen at all, but after working in the army for four years, they will get to learn a lot, due to which they will get jobs in other private institutions including paramilitary forces.
