New Delhi. The violence that took place in Murshidabad, West Bengal on the holy festival of Ram Navami has gained momentum. As a precautionary measure, Section 144 has been imposed in the area. After the incident of stone pelting on Ram devotees taking out Shobha Yatra, BJP is continuously attacking West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Now on behalf of BJP in this matter, West Bengal Governor C.V. A letter has been written to Anand Bose demanding an NIA investigation into this entire matter.
BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari appealed to Governor C.V. Wrote in the letter addressed to Anand Bose, I want to inform you regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in West Bengal. During the tenure of Trinamool government in Bengal, communal attacks are being carried out on Hindus celebrating their festivals. Incidents like stone pelting, bombing etc. on Hindus are becoming a common occurrence. Even in 2023, incidents of violence were seen during the Ram Navami celebrations and now this year too, stones have been pelted at Ram devotees in Murshidabad. This reveals the poor law and order situation in the state.
Suvendu Adhikari said in his letter that people of a particular community in Murshidabad attacked Ram devotees as part of a well-thought-out strategy. During this period, the BJP leader also raised questions on the West Bengal Police. Suvendu Adhikari said that instead of taking action against the stone pelters, the Murshidabad police fired tear gas shells at the people taking out the procession. The BJP leader also requested the Governor to visit the violence affected areas and demanded an immediate NIA investigation into this entire matter. Let us tell you that last year in 2023 also there was an incident of communal violence during Ram Navami celebrations in Bengal. After the order of Calcutta High Court, the investigation of this case was handed over to NIA.
