The program of consecration of the idol of Shri Ram ji is to be held on January 22 in the under construction temple in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Ram. Preparations are going on in full swing regarding this. Meanwhile, the Mauritius government announced on Friday (January 12) that there will be a two-hour break on January 22.
In Mauritius, on January 22, 2024, Mauritius officers and employees of Hindu faith will be given 2 hours holiday. The Government of Mauritius has given approval on the request of Hindu socio-cultural organizations.

Mauritius government said it was a historic event
A statement issued by the Mauritius government said, “The Cabinet has agreed to grant a special holiday of two hours from 1400 hrs for Monday (22 January 2024) to public officers of Hindu religion, commemorating the Ram Ram temple at Ayodhya in India. “In the context of the inauguration of the temple, it is mandatory, it is a historic event as it marks the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya.”

Approval of leave on the request of Hindu socio-cultural organizations
It is noteworthy that Mauritius Sanatan Dharma Temples Federation had written a letter to the country’s Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jagannath. It was written in the letter, “The day of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony is very special for Hindu religion. In such a situation, our appeal is that a break of 2 hours should be given on 22nd January.”
