A man admitted to a reputed hospital in Telangana was allegedly bitten by rats. It is being told that the rats have badly bitten the leg and hand of the person admitted in the ICU. Due to which he got hurt a lot. On the other hand, taking cognizance of the matter, the Health Department has suspended two doctors of the hospital.
The incident took place at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGMH) in Warangal, Telangana. A man undergoing treatment at the Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit (RICU) here was allegedly bitten by rats. The 38-year-old patient is suffering from lung and liver-related ailments and was admitted to the RICU ward on March 26.
Srinivas’s family members on Thursday alleged that he was bitten by rats, causing multiple injuries to his legs and hands. MGM Warangal is one of the foremost government hospitals in Telangana.
After the incident came to light, the government transferred hospital superintendent B Srinivasa Rao. On the other hand, the Health Department has also suspended two doctors on duty.
