Along with the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, the construction work intensified as soon as Yogi Sarkar 2.0 was received by various construction agencies for the movement of pilgrims and their amenities. The work of construction of Ram temple is being done by Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The trust claims to have completed 30 percent of the construction work. After completing the foundation work of the temple by next June, construction will be started in the sanctum sanctorum by bringing stones from Bansi mountain. A target has been set to complete the construction of the temple by December 2023.
Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra says that along with the construction of the temple, security for the passengers and construction of many facilities (waiting room, toilet, rest house) will be completed, which has been discussed in the meetings of the trust. Along with the construction of the temple, the Yogi government has given great importance to the movement of devotees and pilgrims. The work of connecting Ayodhya by road, rail and air is going on in full swing. Ayodhya to Kashi road is being made four-lane. The construction work of Ayodhya to Prayagraj, Ayodhya to Gorakshanath Peeth (Gorakhpur) has been completed. The work from Ayodhya to Rae Bareli, Chitrakoot is going on. In-principle consent has been obtained for the 68-km ring road and four-fourth Kosi Parikrama Marg around Ayodhya. Funds will be allocated as soon as the receipt report is received.
Ayodhya Dham has already been connected with Ramjanaki Marg and Ram Vanagaman Marg. Work is going on to widen the roads around the temple by concentrating on Ayodhya Dham. From the old bus stand to the Ramjanmabhoomi temple, the construction work is being done rapidly by demolishing many houses. This will make it easier for the devotees to reach the temple. The 18 km road from Ayodhya Naya Ghat to Shahdatganj Bypass, which is passing through the main market of the Municipal Corporation, is being widened.
For car parking, construction work is going on at a fast pace on the land behind Tedhi Bazar, Amaniganj Jalkal, Chowk Mandi and in front of District Panchayat office. Construction work of sewer line in Faizabad city, water and electricity connection to every house is going on fast. Overall, to reach Ayodhya by road, four-lane road will be connected from every direction. Similarly, the acquisition of land for the airport has been completed. Preparations are being made by the authority to start the construction work.
The target is to make the airport operational till the temple construction is completed. All the rail routes to reach Ayodhya by rail will be electrified by March and the doubling of Ayodhya-Lucknow rail section is going on fast, the construction of building and passenger facility at Ayodhya railway station has completed the first phase. Nine platforms will be built at Ayodhya Junction and an entry road will be made in the south direction for the convenience of the passengers. Ayodhya Junction will be connected by rail to all the pilgrimage places and capitals by direct train.
Demand to connect religious places with Ayodhya by train
MP Lallu Singh has demanded to connect Chitrakoot, Shri Vaishno Devi Katra, Puri Odisha and Rishikesh Uttarakhand from Ayodhya with immediate direct trains. For the convenience of the pilgrims, there is a demand for a direct train between Gorakhpur to Khajuraho via Ayodhya. The construction of overbridges has started at three crossings of the city area. Two more that the construction work will start as soon as the soil test report is received.
Development of 150 villages
For the overall development of Ayodhya, about 150 villages have been included in the Ayodhya Development Authority. On the other side of the Ayodhya Saryu coast, many hotels are being built these days at a rapid pace. There has been a spurt in the purchase of land for seven kilometers on the road from Ayodhya to Makhauda Dham. Government Ayurvedic Medical College has been approved and an amount of Rs.5 crore has been allocated. Another university has been announced by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Ayodhya which is going to come to fruition soon. The demand for Sanskrit University and Journalism University in Ayodhya is being raised from time to time.
