After the return of the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh, the difficulties of the family of Samajwadi Party (SP) veteran and former minister Azam Khan are increasing. The Rampur district administration has started the process of canceling the arms licenses of Azam Khan’s wife Tanzin Fatima and their MLA son Abdullah Azam Khan soon after the assembly elections. DM has also issued notice regarding this.
Regarding the matter, Additional SP Dr Sansar Singh has told that the rifle was licensed in the name of former MLA Tanzeem Fatima and criminal cases are registered against him. Therefore a report of cancellation of license has been sent. He told that similar cases are also registered against MLA Mohammad Abdullah Azam. A report of cancellation of the revolver’s license in his name has also been sent to the District Magistrate.
Let us inform that since the formation of Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2017, Azam Khan’s family has been continuously facing cases one after the other. There are more than 200 cases registered against the family. Azam Khan himself is imprisoned in Sitapur Jail for the last two years. At the same time, his wife has also come out of jail for more than 1 year. Azam Khan’s son and MLA Abdullah Azam Khan has also been released on bail after spending 18 months in jail.
