Gupteshwar Pandey, who was the DGP of Bihar, has been completely disillusioned with politics. Gupteshwar of Bihar, who arrived in Saharsa to attend the seven-day Bhagwat Katha, said that he would not want to return to politics in this life. He said that he was the DGP then first. Had many encounters, that too was part of the job. He also tried to enter politics by resigning from the post of DGP but that was past.
In response to a question, he said that the society can be transformed only through spirituality. Unless there is a change in the consciousness of the person, the crime or corruption will never end. He said that no political system or law and social reformer can bring reforms in the society. We have to improve our surroundings that through spirituality the consciousness of the people has to be refined.
Gupteshwar Pandey was a 1987 batch IPS officer. He was the DGP of Bihar. In 2015, when the Bihar government banned alcohol in the state, he campaigned for prohibition. He worked in many positions in the police department. He is known for his innovative initiatives, which include making the police friendly with the public.
His tenure as DGP was till February 28, 2021. But he took voluntary retirement just before the assembly elections. It was believed that Nitish Kumar would field him in the election by giving him a ticket but it did not happen.
After going into politics from voluntary retirement, he has now become a Bhagwat narrator. He said that he was born in a Brahmin family. The experience of living in a Sanatani environment is there from the very beginning. He has started on the path of spirituality by taking initiation from Ayodhya to complete the teachings of the discourse. It is worth noting that Gupteshwar Pandey, who was in discussion for many exploits during the police service in Bihar, had made a lot of headlines by giving a statement on Riya Chakraborty in the Sushant Singh suicide case.
