Violence erupted in West Bengal’s Birbhum district following the killing of Trinamool Congress leader Bhadu Sheikh. After this, ten people died tragically in the incident of arson in Bogatui village. Eight people who died were from the same family. However, now the postmortem report that has come out in this case has revealed that these eight people were brutally beaten up before their death.
According to news agency PTI, eight people, including three women and two children, were brutally thrashed before the massacre at Bogatui village in Birbhum district. The beating with these people has been confirmed in the postmortem report that came out. A Rampurhat hospital official told PTI that charred bodies were found inside the houses in the early hours of Tuesday, allegedly due to the setting on fire by unidentified people.
All these bodies were examined after the incident, the hospital official said. In this, forensic experts found in their preliminary findings that these victims were first severely beaten and then set on fire. Let us inform that Trinamool Congress leader Bhadu Sheikh, who hails from Bogatui village under Rampurhat block of Birbhum district, was allegedly brutally murdered by miscreants on Monday evening.
After this violence broke out in the area in which some houses of the village were set on fire. In this incident, 10 people died tragically while eight people including two children, three women belonged to the same family. DGP Manoj Malviya had told that 22 people have been arrested in the case. Simultaneously, SIT was formed under the leadership of ADG.
At the same time, the Calcutta High Court, taking suo motu cognizance in the violence case, directed the Bengal government to file a report in the violence case by 2 pm on Thursday. Along with this, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also asked the Mamata Banerjee government of Bengal to summon a report within 72 hours. It is to be known that after this incident, there was an uproar in the political corridors and the BJP had demanded an inquiry from the central agencies in the matter with the resignation of the Chief Minister.
