Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann took oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab on Wednesday (March 16). After taking oath, Bhagwant Mann reached the office to take charge. When Bhagwant Mann was assuming office, there was a picture of Bhimrao Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh behind him. But there was no photo of Mahatma Gandhi there. Controversy has started regarding this matter and the leaders of the opposition in Punjab are continuously targeting Bhagwant Mann.
Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann had announced that after coming to power, there will be no picture of the Chief Minister, former Chief Minister or anyone else in the Chief Minister’s Office. Rather, only the picture of Bhagat Singh and Bhimrao Ambedkar will remain in his office. Bhagwant Mann took oath as Chief Minister on March 16 at Khatkarkalan, the village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Youth Congress President Srinivas Biwi tweets targeting Bhagwant Mann and alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party was implementing the agenda of the RSS. He tweeted and wrote, “What RSS/BJP could not do, AAP’s Sanghis did it. Only the picture of ‘Bapu’ was not removed, the real agenda of the Sangh has started to be implemented. Lord, come to your senses.”
There has also been a controversy over the picture of Bhagat Singh. Actually the turban worn by Bhagat Singh in the photo is of Basanti colour. Many researchers are assuming that this is not authentic, only fiction. Researchers believe that Bhagat Singh never wore a Basanti or Kesari turban. Let us tell you that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is mostly seen in Basanti turban and he also took oath as Chief Minister by wearing Basanti turban.
On Saturday, the members of Mann’s cabinet took oath as ministers and in the evening Bhagwant Mann also held the first cabinet meeting. During this, taking a big decision, the Mann government announced to fill 25 thousand vacant posts in Punjab.
