In Rajasthan’s Alwar district, a Dalit youth was forced to comment on social media. Actually, this case was related to the film The Kashmir Files and the insult of Hindu gods. After which the youth was allegedly forced to rub his nose inside a temple. Police have arrested two in this case and registered a case against 11 people.
Giving information in the matter, Behror Zonal Officer (CO) Anand Kumar said that the incident is of Behror police station area on Tuesday. In which the video of the victim youth went viral on social media. In the video, victim Rajesh Kumar Meghwal can be seen rubbing his nose in a temple purportedly under pressure from the people present there. In which he was accused of insulting Hindu gods.
CO Anand Kumar told that the victim Rajesh Meghwal works in a private bank. Meghwal had criticized the film ‘Kashmir Files’ on Facebook two or three days ago. Writing a post against the film, Rajesh Meghwal had questioned whether the atrocities happened only with Pandits and not with Dalits. He wrote that daily atrocities are being done against the poor and there is nothing in the name of their safety.
In this post of Rajesh Meghwal, some people wrote Jai Shri Ram and Jai Shri Krishna in response. In such a situation, Meghwal, while replying to those comments, provoked people by writing derogatory things against Hindu gods. However, Rajesh Meghwal later apologized but some local people forced him to apologize in a temple.
Some people present there allegedly forced Rajesh Meghwal to rub his nose in the temple and he had to do so under pressure, the CO said. Behror Circle Officer (CO) Anand Kumar said that two people have been arrested in the case, while efforts are on to nab some others.
