A surprising case has come to light from Dwarka, the national capital of the country. A juvenile has been arrested here for allegedly assaulting and murdering an 85-year-old man. Police said that this incident happened on the day of Holi i.e. March 18. A 17-year-old teenager has been arrested in this case, who was displeased with the barking of the dog of the deceased.
According to the police, the incident is from Najafgarh area of Delhi. The incident took place on Holi, in this case the juvenile is alleged to have been very angry with the barking of the dog of the deceased. Due to which he beat the dog with an iron rod. The deceased has been identified as Ashok Kumar. Police said that Ashok Kumar had opposed the teenager for beating the dog.
Additional DCP (Dwarka) Vikram Singh said, “Ashok Kumar’s wife got a call at around 5.30 pm on the day of the incident. We got information about the scuffle and an investigating officer reached the spot. Complainant Meena (65) alleged that a 17-year-old teenager residing in their neighborhood barged into their house and thrashed her husband with an iron rod.
Ashok Kumar was rushed to Rao Tula Ram Hospital after the incident. During investigation, the police found that Ashok Kumar’s dog had barked at the accused juvenile earlier also. So he got angry and went to the house of the first deceased and started beating the dog with a rod. When Ashok Kumar intervened to save the dog, Kishore also hit his head with a rod.
According to the police, the juvenile accused of the incident was caught and sent to the Juvenile Justice Board, from where he was released. However, when Ashok Kumar succumbed to his injuries in the hospital two days later, the matter was re-investigated by the police. After this, after re-recording the statement of the deceased’s wife Meena, the teenager was arrested on the charge of murder.
