There is an uproar across the country regarding the film ‘The Kashmir Files’. Many opposition leaders have termed it as a propaganda movie. So the leaders of the ruling party said that through this movie the whole country has got a chance to know the truth. PM Modi also praised this movie. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has also given a big statement about ‘The Kashmir Files’ and has called it a propaganda movie.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah during a conversation with India Today said, “We cannot forget the then Governor Jagmohan Malhotra, who put the Pandits in buses and said we will bring you back in two months, because I have to blame the rebels. Force has to be used and it can affect you. It’s been 32 years, where are Kashmiri Pandits? I don’t think I am responsible for that incident.”
Farooq Abdullah further said that, “I was not ruling there during that time. As soon as Jagmohan came, I gave up. I said try and handle the situation. You don’t trust me, trust them. On the very first day of his rule, 50 people lost their lives. The in-charge there was the same. Was he able to handle the situation? If people want to know the truth, then they should talk to the then IB Chief or the then Union Minister and presently Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.
Farooq Abdullah said that, “When you appoint an honest judge or committee, the whole truth will come out. You will come to know who is responsible for that incident. If Farooq Abdullah is responsible, then Farooq Abdullah is ready to hang himself in any corner of the country. I am ready for trial, but don’t blame those who are not responsible for it.”
Let us tell you that the atrocities on Kashmiri Pandits were shown in the film The Kashmir Files. This film has also been made tax free in BJP ruled states. The film is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and the film also stars famous actor Anupam Kher.
