One side attacked the other side with sticks in Rajapur Gungwach of Amethi late on Tuesday evening over a land dispute. In the incident, four people of the same family Sankata Prasad Yadav, his wife Parvati and their two sons Hanuman and Amresh died while six people were injured. The condition of three of the injured is said to be serious.
Sensation has spread in the area due to the murder incident. Amethi Police has taken the body in possession and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem. Five different teams have been formed to nab the accused involved in the murder. In this case, Ayodhya Inspector General of Police Kavinder Pratap Singh has suspended Amethi’s Kotwal Vinod Singh, Sub-Inspector Sanjay Singh and Sepoy Independent Vice President with immediate effect for being negligent.
On receiving information about the incident, Lucknow Additional Inspector General of Police Brij Bhushan Singh has reached Rajapur, Gungwach. Amethi Superintendent of Police Dinesh Singh said that the land dispute between Sankata Prasad Yadav and Ramdulare Yadav was already going on. The two sides clashed over the construction work, in which Sankata Prasad Yadav 65, Parvati Yadav 63, Hanuman Yadav 45 and Amresh Yadav were beaten to death with sticks.
Six people injured in the incident are undergoing treatment at Lucknow Medical College, in which the condition of three is said to be critical. The people of the village said that the matter was reported to the police but in time the police did not take any action against the accused.
