In view of the festival of Holi, the timings of transport services in the capital have been rescheduled. Information has been issued by Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). It has been told that during the playing of colors on the day of Holi, bus and metro services will be completely disrupted from morning till afternoon. Service will be restored on some special routes and metro routes in the afternoon but it will not be on all routes. Only some buses and metro trains will be run during this period.
Metro will run after 2.30 pm
Delhi Metro services will also be affected on the day of Holi on March 18. According to Delhi Metro, metro services for the general public will start after 2.30 pm and this order will be applicable on all lines of the metro. Rapid Metro and Airport Metro services have also been included in this category. After the start of metro services from 2.30 pm, gradually the number of trains will be increased as per the requirement of the passengers.
Only 898 buses will run
On the day of Holi, on March 18, bus service from DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) will be available to the general public after noon. DTC has decided not to run morning bus service on this day. Evening service will also be run by DTC on select routes. DTC says that on March 18, DTC will operate only 898 bus services. DTC officer Sanjay Saxena said that if any citizen wants to get information about bus service, then he can get it related by calling DTC’s central room number 1800111881.
