The MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the ruling Trinamool Congress clashed in the West Bengal Assembly. The controversy erupted after the BJP demanded that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee speak in the House on the law and order situation in the state in the wake of the Birbhum violence. There has also been a ruckus in the Delhi Assembly. Here BJP MLAs climbed on the bench of the House and used unparliamentary words for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In view of this, three BJP members have been suspended.

What does Mamata Banerjee want to hide: Amit Malviya Meanwhile, MLAs can be seen shoving and shouting at each other in a video shared on Twitter by BJP leader and IT cell chief Amit Malviya. Malviya tweeted, “Ruckus in West Bengal Assembly. After the Governor of Bengal, TMC MLAs now attacked BJP MLAs including Chief Whip Manoj Tigga. They were demanding a discussion on the Rampurhat massacre on the floor of the House. What does Mamata Banerjee want to hide?”
