Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, who was on a visit to Gwalior, reached the historic fort of the city on Tuesday. During this, he got angry when he saw the dirt there. He called the officers on the spot and reprimanded them fiercely. When Reddy reached near Mansingh Mahal, he saw garbage lying in front. On this, he asked the officers present there why this garbage was not removed. Said should I do the broom myself. He said that when there was no cleanliness here, why called me. He also inquired from the officials of the tourism department about the staff working in the department. Said whether tourists would come here in such an environment. Said when there is dirt even when I come, then how would the atmosphere be here in normal days. Said that this would spoil the image of the tourism department here. He instructed the officers that special care should be taken for cleanliness here.
He asked the Regional Director of the Archaeological Department of India (ASI) whether there was no money for cleaning. Don’t you have staff? Then why is there such negligence? Said what do you guys do? Why don’t you see During this, all the officers kept apologizing, but the anger of the minister was not decreasing. He said that cleaning is not needed for a day or two. Cleaning should be done daily.
