Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has expelled four office bearers, including former MLC, from the party for alleged anti-party activities in the Legislative Council elections. Former Samajwadi Party MLA Kailash Singh has been expelled from the party in the Legislative Council. Apart from this, party functionaries Ramesh Yadav, Vijay Yadav and Upendra Yadav have also been thrown out of the party.
In the letter issued by the state president Naresh Uttam Patel, it has been said that Upendra Yadav, block chief representative, village Naisara Ghazipur, Vijay Yadav former block chief, for opposing the Samajwadi Party in the election of local authority constituency Legislative Council district Ghazipur. Mardah/Former District Panchayat President, Representative Ghazipur, Ramesh Yadav, National Secretary Baba Saheb Vahini and Shri Kailash Singh, former MLC resident of Aurihar Legislative Assembly, Saidpur District Ghazipur are expelled from Samajwadi Party with immediate effect.
On the other hand, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday held a meeting with leaders of party allies Apna Dal (K), Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and discussed the future strategy. Akhilesh’s uncle Shivpal Yadav, who contested from Jaswant Nagar on an SP ticket, was not present at the meeting. There is speculation that he is “unhappy” as he was not invited to the meeting of SP MLAs last week.
Those present at the meeting included SBSP leader Om Prakash Rajbhar, RLD leader Rajpal Balyan and Apna Dal (K) leader Pallavi Patel, who defeated Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya from Sirathu seat in the assembly elections. When asked about the meeting, Balyan said, “We discussed our future strategy in the House (assembly). We will continue to fight for the farmers and laborers and continue our fight for them.”
Downplaying Shivpal’s absence, SBSP leader Om Prakash Rajbhar said there was no difference in their alliance. When asked by the journalists present in Etawah, Shivpal said, “I will not say anything. If I have anything to share, I will call you (media).” In the recently held elections, SP had got 111 seats, while allies RLD and SBSP got eight and six seats respectively.
