The tussle between the SP and the BJP in the assembly elections is not taking its name to end. During the MLC elections, workers of both the parties clashed with each other at the Collectorate in Fatehgarh, Farukhabad. First there was sloganeering and after that after the scuffle, the slippers were seen moving. The special thing was that the policemen kept watching the whole spectacle in silence.
In the elections to be held for the Farukhabad-Etawa Legislative Council, BJP has nominated Pranshu Dutt Dwivedi, the state president of Yuva Morcha. Whereas SP has made Mohammadabad Nagar Panchayat President Harish Yadav as its candidate. Both the SP and BJP workers got entangled on seeing each other when they came to file nomination at the same time.
Harish Yadav said that he had three copies of the set of nominations. The people of BJP took a copy in his hand and tore it. They were also beaten up. He has worked for 42 years. But never seen that. Humanity is wired. There were 100 police personnel, including the CO, but the police were watching silently. According to the SP leader, the people of BJP have come down completely on hooliganism.
On the other hand, BJP says that they are cultured people. SP leaders are unnecessarily accusing him. The people of SP fought together to malign the image of BJP. On the question of hitting slippers, the BJP leader said that it is the same allegation as they accuse EVMs. These people are desperate. They have been beating each other and saying that the people of BJP beat them up.
ASP Ajay Pratap says that the candidates of both the parties had come to the collectorate to file their nominations together. He said that after pacifying the atmosphere, the SP candidate was sent inside for nomination by the police. For now, there is peace. He said that the police took steps after seeing the spot. His attempt was that the dispute should be settled and both the leaders should file their nominations in a good atmosphere.
