SP’s troubles in UP MLC are not taking the name of ending. On one hand, BJP got a walkout after withdrawing the names of candidates in three seats and in some places incidents of torn nomination papers of Akhilesh’s candidates have come to the fore. In the latest incident, after registering a case against the husband of the SP candidate from Sultanpur-Amethi seat, two of his supporters leaders Raheet Yadav and Izhar Ahmed were arrested.
This case has been registered against SP candidate Shilpa’s husband Anil Prajapati on the complaint of BDC of Sadipur. The BDC complains that Anil has threatened to kill him using caste-specific words if he does not take one lakh rupees to vote in the elections. According to Tahrir, on the night of March 21, at around eight o’clock, Anil came and offered one lakh rupees to vote in the MLC elections.
Meanwhile, Raheet Yadav and Izhar Ahmed were detained on the basis of a call recording. On Tuesday also a case was registered against Anil at Jagdishpur police station. The names of SP’s district secretary Rahet Yadav and Jagdishpur’s assembly speaker Izhar Ahmed are also included in this case. This case was registered on the complaint of BJP’s MLC candidate Shailendra Pratap Singh.
At present, the bitterness that arose between the SP and the BJP during the assembly elections in UP is not taking its name to end. Earlier in the day, during the nomination for the MLC elections, workers of both the parties clashed with each other at the Collectorate in Fatehgarh, Farukhabad. First there was sloganeering and after that after the scuffle, the slippers were seen moving.
On the other hand, in Mirzapur and Hardoi, SP candidates played a ruckus with Akhilesh Yadav. SP’s MLC candidate from Mirzapur Ramesh Yadav withdrew his nomination today. In Hardoi also, SP’s official candidate Rajiuddin withdrew his nomination papers on the day of withdrawal of nominations.
