Uttar Pradesh’s SP MLA Nahid Hasan has suffered another major setback. Taking major action, the Yogi administration has attached the rice mill of Nahid Hasan. This action has been taken for non-payment of dues of the market committee. Nahid Hasan is getting one blow after another from the Yogi government. The administration is continuously running bulldozers on their illegal properties. Action has been taken against many members of his family as well. A few days ago, his uncle’s illegal property, built illegally on 10 bighas of government land, was demolished.
Nahid Hasan is an MLA from Shamli’s Kairana and is currently in jail under the Gangster Act. Taking action on Monday (April 11), the Yogi administration has attached his rice mill. Nahid Hasan was owed tax of Mandi Committee. This rice mill of Nahid Hasan is built on five bighas of land.
Mandi committee owes tax of Rs 16 lakh on Nahid Hasan’s mill
The market committee had tax dues of Rs 16 lakh on Nahid Hasan’s mill. This mill is built on Bypass Road in Shamli. On the instructions of the SDM, the Tehsildar and the team of Revenue Department have attached the mill. As per the order imposed on the mill, Nahid Hasan has failed to deposit the amount of land revenue or recoverable arrears of land revenue, hence the property has been forfeited.
Let us tell you that Nahid Hassan has a good reputation in the Samajwadi Party. He had won a big victory in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. In these elections, he defeated BJP candidate Mriganka Singh by 25,887 votes in Kairana seat. He was still in jail at that time. Earlier in the 2017 assembly elections also, he had won from Kairana seat. Nahid Hasan belongs to a political family. Both his father and grandfather were involved in politics.
