In Amroha, UP, there was a dispute between two groups over playing a song on Holi. After the dispute, there was a lot of stone pelting between the two groups and many people got hurt. Police have arrested 6 people in this case and search is on for other accused. This incident is from Chhanga Darwaza area of Amroha. A heavy police force has been deployed in the area.
According to the news, on Friday, a day before Holi, some people were playing a song called ‘Yogi Phir Aayo Re’ and there is a mosque next to it, where Nawaz was walking. It is said that some people demanded to stop the song till Nawaz was done, after which there was a dispute between the two sides. The dispute escalated so much that stones started pelting between the two sides and many people got hurt in it.
On the whole incident, the police said, “The incident happened on Friday, when the people having fun on the occasion of Holi were playing songs on loudspeakers near the mosque. He was asked to wait till the prayers were done, which led to a dispute. Both sides pelted stones at each other, injuring two people, one of whom is still undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Let us inform that there is a mixed population in the locality and the dispute started at around 1:30 on Friday. There was also Friday Friday prayers and during this time there was a dispute about turning off the sound of the DJ. After a scuffle between the two sides, the matter escalated so much that stone-pelting started. In a hurry, heavy police force was deployed on the spot and PAC also had to be deployed. The police first chased people from both the sides from there. After that, after talking to the senior people of both the sides, the matter was pacified.

The current MLA from Amroha is Mehboob Ali and he belongs to Samajwadi Party. Amroha district has 4 assembly seats, out of which 2 are occupied by BJP and 2 by Samajwadi Party. Mehboob Ali has been continuously elected MLA since 2002.
