- The commission made it clear that fees will not be charged from these students. State councils themselves will take consent letter not to charge fees from the colleges to which these students will be sent.
- Till now the examination was not allowed by taking transfer
- At present, foreign MBBS or medical graduates are not allowed to take internship or examination by taking transfer in India. They have to complete course studies, training and internship in the same foreign college.
- Now in the new situation, the commission said that it will give relief in internship. Students who could not complete it because of the war in Ukraine can apply to complete an incomplete internship in India.
You have to pay attention to these things
- The State Councils will have to see that the MBBS degree is used for practice in the same country and jurisdiction in which it was issued. This degree should be equivalent to a compulsory license to practice in the country concerned.
- It will be mandatory to pass FMGE. On the basis of this, internship of 12 months or remaining duration will be done.
7.5% quota also fixed
Foreign MBBS graduates will also get quota in internship. It can be 7.5 percent of the maximum seats of the medical college concerned. That is, if there are 200 seats in a college, then 14 students studying MBBS from abroad will be able to do internship. The commission itself will release the list of such colleges which it has given permission for internship of these students.
