The Asia Times, citing insiders, said Pakistani officials sensitive to Western countries have offered to repeal or sideline the CPEC, but Washington will have to offer similar financial support.
In view of this, it seems that the Imran Khan government is trying to heat up relations with America. Even Pakistani analyst Moeed Yusuf, who worked for years for the US government-funded United States Institute of Peace, has been appointed by Imran as National Security Advisor.

US has learned nothing from Vietnam War: Alvi
On one hand, Pakistan wants to increase relations with America and on the other hand it is taunting. Pakistan President Arif Alvi expressed surprise that Washington has learned nothing from the past and has fallen into another trap.
He said that the US has implicated in the Ukraine conflict without learning anything from the Vietnam War. Meanwhile, PM Imran Khan has visited Russia and met President Vladimir Putin. Analysts have termed the visit as a bad time and foolish.
