New Delhi: Modi government has always played the role of Hanuman for Indians stranded abroad. Once again the Indian Foreign Ministry has proved the image of Hanuman ji as a trouble-shooter. India has provided great relief to 17 Indians and their families by ensuring the return of 17 Indians implicated in illegal activities in Laos. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said in his ex-post on Saturday that 17 Indian workers who were fraudulently lured into illegal work in Laos are being brought back home.
The External Affairs Minister appreciated the Indian Embassy in Laos for its help in this matter. Jaishankar said in a post on social media platform ‘X’, “Modi’s guarantee works for everyone everywhere in the country and abroad. 17 Indian workers, who were duped into illegal and dangerous work in Laos, are returning home. He said, “The Indian Embassy in Laos did a good job. Thanks to the Lao authorities for assistance in safe return.” The External Affairs Ministry on Thursday cautioned Indian citizens against falling prey to human traffickers promising lucrative job opportunities in Cambodia.
Indians advised to be careful
The Ministry of External Affairs had issued an advisory calling on Indians looking for job opportunities in the South-East Asian country to thoroughly check the background of the prospective employer. “It has come to light that Indian citizens are falling into the trap of human traffickers, lured by false promises of lucrative job opportunities in Cambodia,” the advisory said. In such a situation, all Indians are advised not to fall into their trap. Never fall into their trap without checking first. (Language)
