Washington. US President Joe Biden and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron have reaffirmed their commitment to hold Russia accountable for the war against Ukraine.
The two leaders made the commitment during a phone call on Sunday, during which they discussed the current situation in Ukraine as Russian forces continue to bomb and shell major cities.
Biden and Macron also reviewed recent diplomatic relations and underlined their commitment to holding Russia accountable for its actions and supporting the government and people of Ukraine, the White House said in a statement.
The talks between the two leaders came hours after Russian cruise missiles struck a military training base in the western city of Yvoryev.
