This cooperation will be extended in such a way that both the countries will benefit. There was also a mention of increasing the volume of bilateral trade. Under this, cooperation in investment and technical sector will also be promoted. It has also been said to deal with any inappropriate action of enemy countries.
The document talks about increasing cooperation through organizations like BRICS, SCO, CIS, EAEU, SCTO and RIC. All of these include Russia, China and India. Russia has talked about increasing its participation in these. He wants to keep them on priority.
India has been neutral on Ukraine war
India and Russia have had close relations for decades. Russia has supported India in every difficulty. It is the largest supplier of arms to India. From 2016-2020, Russia’s share in arms imported into India was about 50 percent.
Both China and India have increased oil imports from Russia amid the Ukraine war. America and western countries have showered sanctions on Russia. India’s attitude towards Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has been neutral. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been strongly advocating finding a solution through dialogue. He has appealed several times to both the countries to make peace.
