Russia Ukraine Conflict Indore, New Zealand Rep. The homecoming of Indian students trapped there has started amid the situation of war between Ukraine and Russia. Ayushi Jain, who lives in Malharganj in the city, has also come from there. She is the first student to come to Indore from there. Ayushi reached Delhi on Tuesday night before a special Air India flight and then reached Bhopal on Wednesday by Rajdhani Express. She has stayed there at a relative’s place.
The situation in Ukraine is spoken by Ayushi.
I went there only last November. I am pursuing MBBS from Bogomolets National Medical University, Ukraine. I am currently in my 6th semester. The situation is normal in the cities. All the goods there are open. On Monday I myself went to the market. In view of the possible danger, the government has made bunkers there for security. The army is also continuously patrolling. Our teachers have asked us to carry food items with us. So that never go to the bunker in case of war, there is no problem.
Many students from Madhya Pradesh and Indore are there. I know about five or six people. I am very happy to return to my country, but many students have opted to stay there because they cannot buy flight tickets. Those people are trapped there. When my parents checked the flight tickets in the morning it was Rs 60,000. A few minutes later, it was Rs 68,000, but I have come. My friend from Maharashtra who lives with me has chosen to stay there. She can’t pay much rent. There are many people who are waiting for the fare to come down. The good thing is that our university has given the option of online studies. I want all this to end as soon as possible and I can complete my studies.
